ALTEN is a reference player on the employment market in France. Consequently, in 2009, the group recruited 1690 employees, mainly on open-ended contracts and with managerial status.
About 15% of the hiring concern least 25 years, which means that ALTEN plays an active role in opening up the jobs market to young people.
This brought ALTEN to establish partnerships with the major engineering schools. We are, therefore, play a key role in the career and life of the student: technical conferences and academic courses in project management, sports activities (EDHEC sailing cup, Raid Centrale Paris, 4L Trophy), interview simulations, and promotion of all entrepreneurial dynamics through the Winstrat challenge or again the "Plug and Start Campus" event in partnership with the Aube technology centre.
Promotion of the scientific sectors and of the values of the engineer’s trade
ALTEN undertook with the association "Elles bougent" to make discover to the students the fascinating jobs by the women engineers, thanks to a device of meetings with the godmothers ALTEN Making young people aware of scientific and technological careers is one of the Group’s objectives, and it regularly receives college and school students through various associations like C’ Genial

With the aim of promoting the image of an engineer’s job in France, Simon AZOULAY handed over the Innovation Prize at the Engineers of the Year Award since the event first started.
ALTEN is besides opened in the promotion of international French engineering through the "ALTEN Training Solutions programme (ATS)".
This program, aiming at the welcome of foreign students in France consists of a phase of dumping in the French language and culture, a year of caesura of 12-month break on a technical project and a year of M2 training (second year Master’s) in a French engineering school.
ALTEN Group solidarity projects
The ALTEN Group also develops programs of solidarity, such as the opening of an environmental class for the insertion of street children from Katmandu, Nepal. This program gives these children the opportunity to choose a different path in life and to become more and more integrates in society.
In Spain, ALTEN is launching an action plan to ensure that disabled people have greater opportunities to integrate socially.
For example, a special day organised under the motto "live pushing back the boundaries" aims to remove the barriers and stereotypes associated with disabilities, during which Raquel Dominguez, a disabled sportswoman, explains how motivation becomes an essential factor in getting ahead in spite of the (physical) limitations.
Cet engagement est représenté via la dénomination : « ALTEN + », un nom créé par l’entreprise pour l’aide à l’intégration et à la sensibilisation des personnes avec handicap.
This commitment is represented by the name "ALTEN +", which was created by the company to promote the integration of disabled people in society and to raise awareness of disability among the general public.
