ALTEN is committed to the flourishing of the engineering profession and scientific careers and encourages student entrepreneurship to promote excellence in tomorrow’s engineers. ALTEN is a reference player on the employment market in Europe.

 

 

Recruitment

In 2011, the Group made 3,500 recruitments on permanent contracts, of which 1,000 (around 30%) were young people with less than two years’ experience, and almost all recruited on management contracts.

ALTEN develops partnerships with the major engineering schools, universities and business schools, and meets students by taking part in trade fairs and forums, In order to improve the quality of its recruitment procedure, ALTEN carried out a survey of candidates asking them to state the strong points of the Group’s procedure as well as the areas that could be improved.

 

Support of ambitious projects

ALTEN supports students entrepreneurship projects, but also cultural and sports initiatives of its employees, and events promoting the Engineering field:

	CNJE: In November 2011, ALTEN has signed a partnership with the Confédération Nationale des Junior-Entreprises (CNJE, the National Confederation for Young Enterprises), so as to foster exchange and dialogue between students and the corporate world.
	Winstrat: ALTEN is a historical partner of WinStrat, is a virtual company management challenge open to engineering schools
	Engineers of the Year Award: With the aim of promoting the image of an engineer’s job in France, Simon AZOULAY handed over the Innovation Prize at the Engineers of the Year Award since the event first started.
	Elles Bougent: ALTEN undertook with the association "Elles bougent" to make discover to the students the fascinating jobs by the women engineers, thanks to a device of meetings with the godmothers
	Sponsoring: ALTEN regularly sponsors extra-professional projects led by its employees. ALTEN has developed the altentouch blog helping the numerous talents composing the Group to benefit from ALTEN’s internet media coverage to promote their initiatives
