On this occasion, ALTEN was honoured with the Innovation Trophy, recognising the excellence of its innovation and technological research approach in driving the digital and sustainable transformation of its clients.

ALTEN honoured at the 2025 ESN & ICT Rendezvous

This award highlights the innovation strategy that ALTEN has pursued since its founding. As a global leader in Engineering and IT Services, ALTEN stands out for its structured approach to innovation, combining technical expertise, agility, and environmental commitment.

ALTEN’s innovation strategy is built around a unique initiative: the ALTEN Labs. These 11 innovation laboratories, spread across the globe, bring together over 100 internal research projects. The labs form a true innovation ecosystem where consultants, regardless of their experience level, can explore emerging technologies and develop their creative thinking.

Smart Digital: an innovation strategy for sustainability

Launched in 2019, the Smart Digital initiative structures ALTEN’s research approach across 9 transversal programmes that cover all of the Group’s business sectors: Smart Data Exchange, Smart Factory 4.0, Smart Mobility, Smart Green & Secure Systems, Smart Design, Smart Communications, Smart Transactions, Smart Quality & Green Supply Chain, and Smart Healthcare.

This strategy places sustainability at the heart of innovation: in 2024, 31% of ALTEN’s R&D projects were dedicated to environmental innovation, underscoring the Group’s commitment to ecological transition. Additionally, 70% of R&D projects integrate Artificial Intelligence, demonstrating ALTEN’s ability to incorporate cutting-edge technology into environmental responsibility.

Open and collaborative innovation

The strength of ALTEN’s approach lies in its collaborative model. The Group relies on a vast ecosystem of partners from the scientific, technological, and academic worlds. These collaborations result in research theses, scientific partnerships, and concrete applications (proofs of concept and minimum viable products).

ALTEN’s achievements reflect this excellence: from co-developing Neo-Automate with Schneider Electric and STMicroelectronics to advance Industry 4.0, to pioneering innovations in predictive maintenance, protecting biodiversity through the Dbird Project, and championing eco-responsible surfing alongside the Zephir Project.
