ALTEN Shared Service Center (SSC) in Porto provides administrative, financial, HR, and IT services to its European subsidiaries, focusing on process optimization, digitization, and continuous improvement. Porto was chosen for its qualified workforce, cultural fit, and language proficiency, offering a strategic location for the Center. Initiated in late 2023, the development is on track, with efforts to build management teams and attract talented individuals to support the project. The Porto Service Center aims to be an innovation hub, promoting excellence and supporting ALTEN’s local partners in addressing future challenges.

ALTEN Transformation Program for Support functions
Our engineers carry out complex and highly technical projects throughout the value chain of the most prestigious companies in all sectors of industry, services, and telecommunications. Over the years, this success has been greatly aided by a strong sense of business partnering within our support functions and their continuous efforts to adapt and transform their added value in a fast-changing environment.
In a context of business growth acceleration, within a more complex regulatory and compliance environment, where technology is constantly bringing new capabilities, ALTEN Group decided a few years ago to launch a specific program for support functions to accelerate this continuous transformation.
While sustaining the high level of service provided by ALTEN support functions to the business, this program aims to enhance alignment, performance, and connectivity across four corporate macro processes:

- Record to Report
- Hire to Retire
