ALTEN and 3dverse partner to drive the Industry 4.0
ALTEN and 3dverse partner to drive the Industry 4.0 revolution with real-time 3D rendering in the cloud
ALTEN, a world leader in engineering and technology consulting, and 3dverse, a Canadian tech start-up pioneering real-time 3D experiences for the industrial metaverse, announced their partnership at the SIDO event in Lyon, France. This collaboration promises to transform the industrial sector through the integration of digital twins and cutting-edge immersive solutions.
3dverse, an innovative start-up based in Canada, has made significant advances in the field of real-time 3D technology. Its cloud platform, dedicated to the operational implementation of the promises of the industrial metaverse, makes real-time 3D collaborative experiences possible. Its technology deploys and shares digital twins in real time, whatever the device: mobile phones, tablets, augmented reality (AR) glasses and virtual reality (VR) headsets. Its unique cloud architecture optimises development times and operating costs. This seamless connection between the virtual and physical worlds, coupled with 3dverse’s unique cloud architecture optimizes development times and operating costs, and opens a realm of unprecedented possibilities. Imagine immersing yourself in a virtual environment that mirrors and interacts with the real world in real-time, allowing you to visualize live interactions without latency.
ALTEN, a leading engineering and IT services group, has chosen 3dverse to support the optimisation of its customers’ production processes. By replacing traditional static designs with dynamic and interactive simulations, this technology enables industry professionals to work with 3D models connected in real time to the physical factory. The 3dverse platform, operated in the cloud, natively integrates instant and collaborative visualisation into industrial processes and stands out for its performance, interoperability and persistence. The ambition of ALTEN and 3dverse is to facilitate collaboration between humans and machines through seamless real-time connectivity between the real and virtual worlds.
“We aim to demonstrate that a digital twin architecture not only optimizes performance management but also enables immersive training and research within a virtual factory. This includes ergonomic simulations, failure analysis, and enhanced physical workflows.” explains François Portier, Director of the Smart Factory 4.0 research programme – ALTEN.
“3dverse transforms real-time 3D into a powerful industrial tool. Through this partnership, ALTEN will develop collaborative digital twins that simulate, test and optimise production processes, thereby reducing costs and operational risks,” explains Pierre-Antoine Forestier, Co-founder of 3dverse.
At the SIDO trade fair in Lyon, a major event dedicated to IoT, robotics and artificial intelligence, visitors experienced an augmented reality deep dive into a virtual world from their smartphones. Simply by scanning a QR code, they explored ALTEN’s showcase: a real assembly plant side-by-side with its digital twin, created in partnership with 3dverse. This platform, “Mini Plant 4.0,” allows for analyzing the impact of various smart systems on industrial processes and efficiency.
