Developing an e-commerce channel for a car manufacturer
Drivers are increasingly likely to buy their vehicle online. To accompany this revolution, a European car manufacturer asked ALTEN to develop its e-commerce platform to sell vehicles and connected services.
Internet users can now select, buy and pay their new vehicle entirely online through a mobile application website and have it delivered to a point of sale (dealership or branch). They can also estimate the buyback of their old vehicle and the financing for the new car.
The ALTEN team made up of 18 consultants from a variety of backgrounds (developers, UX/UI designers, agile coach, experts in communication and digital marketing, etc.) is involved in all web and e-commerce business lines:
- Digital project management (coordination of all in-house and outside project participants by the Product Owners and Scrum Masters)
- Front/Back-end development (Android, iOS and Web)
- UX and UI design (creation of graphical interfaces and optimisation of user journeys)
- Communication and Digital Marketing (defining strategies for creating, distributing, sharing and presenting offers)
