Our Client’s Challenge
Our client, a French group specializing in materials processing, wanted to implement new technological solutions to anticipate potential issues with its metal presses and establish a predictive maintenance program. After testing several solutions with inconclusive results, the client asked us to propose a new approach.
Our Solution Tailored to the Project’s Challenges
To address our client’s challenge, we first went directly to their factory to observe their work methods, understand their processes, and identify their technical challenges. During this initial phase, we identified use cases that allowed us to visualize the situation and tailor our solution to our client’s specific context.
We then developed predictive maintenance sensors using embedded AI. Using these sensors, we collected data on machine behavior, which allowed us to determine the level of wear and process deviations in the machines, enabling us to trigger and recommend maintenance.
Our Collaboration with Vitesse Automation
For this project, we partnered with Vitesse Automation, an innovative startup specializing in AI, industrial automation, and edge computing.
Collaborating with Vitesse has enabled us to better manage the data collected by sensors and to integrate new data processing and machine learning technologies, allowing us to control and reconfigure PLCs using no-code systems.
Thanks to the complementary nature of our expertise, our partnership with Vitesse is a real asset. At ALTEN, we are able to implement a wide range of innovative technological solutions for our clients and support their teams from start to finish as they adopt these solutions. As part of our partnership, we have trained all our engineers to work with Vitesse’s solution, which has enabled us to implement it quickly for our client.

By ensuring that machine operators maintain visibility into the systems entrusted with monitoring, we make it easy to schedule maintenance tasks.
Furthermore, the solution we implemented for our client allows for the categorization of anomalies encountered on the machines, thereby enabling the recommendation of increasingly tailored maintenance operations. This represents real added value compared to other solutions currently on the market.
